Yeah, I know the site has always favored Wii then PS3 then Xbox as far as members. It's a sales site.

I'm just adding a theory that a lot of 360 fans get bored in their forum and venture out and end up causing trouble.

Nobody says Gears is overrated, though! People only say Halo 3 is overrated, and that's because it is! Even Microsoft fanboys agree with us on that one.

Which of the following have you seen more of: Gears of War hate or Killzone 2 hate?

Then again, there are a few (very few) Sony fans who dislike Killzone 2...maybe three or something? While pretty much no Microsoft fanboy in their right mind dislikes Killzone 2.

Come to think of it, have you actually seen any known Sony fans insulting Killzone 2? I haven't. Sure, some people saying "I own a PS3, I'm unbiased!", but they are lying. Everybody who dislikes Killzone 2 is a liar. Same with MGS4, LBP and Uncharted.

@ kantor, sure, some people don't like Halo 3, but i'm sure that you acknowledge that as soon as a few 360 owners said they disliked it ps3 fanboys jumped on the bandwagon in double quick time.

Halo 3 has sold over 9 million copies and is the most successful FPS this gen on consoles thus making it an easy target.

when killzone 2 is released don't be suprised to see more "i don't like killzone 2" threads.

I suppose. Like I said, pretty much no PS3 fans dislike Killzone 2, so there shouldn't be the same level of hate, but the hate is much greater.

Also, its well documented that theres at least two times as many ps3 fans on here as opposed to 360 fans.

So if two 360 fans say they hate Halo 3 it may as well be six 360 fans saying they hate Halo 3 because you know four sony fans will wade in with their opinion on the game based on others comments.

Whereas if a sony fan does happen to dislike killzone 2 his comments will be drowned out by the praise that the other 99.9% sony fans will give it.

It's works both ways.

Also on amazon i have seen people give the 360 console 1 star out of 5 and when they have been challenged about what they said in the comments section they suddenly go alarmingly quiet.

Don't bring those two into this. Amazon and Metacritic have a long history of useless user reviews, that comes from both sides.

On VGC, which has just about the lowest annoying fanboy:contributing member ratio, perhaps 1:50, Gears of War 2 is one of the most loved games. Sure, there are people who dislike it, but they can't be bothered to create hate threads, because most of them are people who bought a 360 for the JRPGS; remember, this pretty much only happens between Sony and Microsoft fanboys, while the Nintendo fanboys come in occasionally, point out that they are winning, get bored when everyone ignores them, and go back to their Mario vs. Link fights etc.

MGS4 is an interesting example. It gets huge amounts of hate, but also huge amounts of love. Best game on PS3 user vote? MGS4. GoTY 2008 user vote? MGS4. Not just on VGC, IGN, GameSpot, pretty much everywhere.

The bigger the game the more likely its gonna receive both praise and cursing in roughly equal amounts.

360 games are bound to get hit harder than ps3 games simply due to the far higher percentage of ps3 fanboys on here as opposed to 360 fansboys.

Look to the right on the main page, look at all the ps3 games in the "most popular" section.

That says it all really.
