Forums - Nintendo - Virtual Console problem. Can anyone help?

I have just downloaded Alex Kidd in Miracle world and when I try to play it the screen is blank. When I pause the game the pause screen comes up but then if I unpause it the screen goes blank again. I have erased the game 3 times now and redownloaded it and each time it has the same problem.

I was thinking of formatting my wii and trying to get it again but then I would have to pay for it again while all my Wii channels would disappear. I can save my games and saves to a SD card but the channels would go. Including the Internet channel which I would have to pay for again. Anyone have any ideas?

Did you forget? In the intro to Alex Kidd, the entire world's power source goes out, and the entire game takes place in pitch black.

(I've never heard of your problem, so I can't be of any more assistance than bumping this thread and giving it attention. Sorry. :P )

I had a VC problem with 16-bit games which I fixed by switching to component cables. I remember hearing about similar problems being solved with some esoteric button presses to change certain settings.

Like KylieDog says, bug Nintendo. They have people who get paid to solve problems like this.
