Well you see it actually does, PS3 is a console which is selling in Japan and if you read the OP the PS3 is mentioned. Wii is also the top selling console in Japan so unless I am completely wrong if 360 outsells the Wii it also outsells the PS3. :O

Sorry, that makes no sense. Just because Wii is the top selling console LTD doesn't mean it can't be the lowest selling console in any particular week.

The question was "Can the 360 outsell the Wii in Japan for the week ending 2/21", to which Maynard replied "I think it's gonna do it. Probably two weeks in a row, you never know". How does PS3 being top seller that week forbid this admittedly unlikely possibility?

I don't think it will do one week, but it's absolute madness to suggest that it could do two.

Mind providing a link? I don't doubt that the Gamecube outsold the PS2 in Japan some weeks, but the Xbox? Launch week doesn't count by the way.

It didn't. Launch week was the only week. After launch week, the Xbox was catatonic, and never got anywhere close to the PS2 on any, ANY given week.

The X360 on the other hand - it's actually beaten both consoles at least once.

I didn't say it wouldn't do one week - I said I didn't think it would do one week. I will put my house on it not doing 2 weeks, however.
