I know. But do they even do a midnight launch for Pokemon? I think they'd be more likely to do them for the more epic games.

I don't know, but Pokemon Platinum is highly anticipated and I think they would do one for it.

This better stay above 80% on metacritic. It looks great!

PS3 Trophies

@ solid : this better sell well and I hope it sells extremely well because it looks like a good game , if this game sells as TLR or IU then it may encourage SE to rush their games and not put more efforts into them.

I agree. This looks far better then those games (to me) so hopefully it will have higher sales. Also, Star Ocean is the only one of those games in an established franchise.

S-E already have a TV commercial for it:

It will benefit from that and better review scores than IU and TLR.  Not to mention that SO3 sold very well.  I expect similar sales for SO4.

True. I've actually seen more SO4 commercials then KZ2 I think. And I thought that game had a huge marketing budget? Funny.

Added the OXM 8.5 review. It's averaging rather decently so far. Currently the 2nd best-reviewed JRPG in the 360 library.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

What is the reason to why SO3 was so successfull in North America? Did they market it well all of a sudden?

Anyway, I dunno what to expect from sales of SO4, honestly. Current trends are that review scores dont help niche games to sell at all. And the game still has this anime look to it that isnt very popular amongst HD users.

KZ2 doesn't need commercials since it's such a hyped up game.  S-E are trying to get as many people as humanly possible to buy SO4.
