The wii never had any must have games except wii sports, that and the cheap price is what sold the system. The PS3 has way more and better games then the wii so far in the lifespan.

The wii is a joke anyways, it sold on its cheap price and the hype of wii sports, nothing else.

Sony will win this gen, Nintendo does not care about third parties at all, aslong as Mario sells they don't care, they offer no support to third parties and will not help any game company with the system. This way Nintendo can continue to have the best looking games on the system and no one can compete.

This will kill the wii as soon as the hype dies down, third parties hate Nintendo for what they have done over the last 10 years.

Really because from everything I'm reading Nintendos trying to get 3rd parties back since switching to Iwata.Square and Nintendo had a big falling out after the SNES and it's only now getting patched up and SE(formerly the superior Squaresoft) is publishing games on nintendo systems once more, mostly spin offs and remake but it's something and the remakes of old FF's are better then the more recent numeral releases if you ask me..  This alone is proof that Nintendos doing -something- to mend relationships with game makers.

Another point Rockstar releasing the, supposedly, superior version of a game on the Wii. Has a rockstar game ever been done on a Nintendo system?

Nintendo has the heat currently and it doesn't look to change for a while, if they use it we can see a lot of dev on the Wii, not just these rushed minigames because nobody saw the Wii coming. The Wii was written off completly, but now it can't be and anybody who writes any of the three off is a fool, they're all potential winners(though 360 has a huge uphill battle because of Japan)

System sales are pushed by the console maker, or the firm they hire for add campaigns I guess....   But mostly the company that makes it is the one making it attractive to potential users and development companies alike.

A point by point shredding of your inane ramblings and foaming fanboyism would justify this post far too much. I think it will suffice to say that you are completely and utterly delusional. Enjoy the rest of the generation.

I know I will....

To Each Man, Responsibility

Well, the real must have title despite of personal opinon or quality was Wii Sports.

That made people WANT to play the Wii. That enticed the non-gamers.

Zelda is the best game out, but not nessacarily the most wanted.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

3rd parties are followers, not leaders. They will develop games for ANYONE who can provide them an audience. They don't much care whether Sony, MS or Nintendo wins, so long as they have an outlet to sell games. It is up to the console manufacturer to sell their system to the consumer, and sell enough of them to make it worth while to 3Ps to make games for that system. Fail to do that, and the 3Ps will jump ship, and drive away any potential market for that system.

 Two things to consider:

1)Nintendo has had little third party support for 2 generations. They alienated 3Ps with the N64, and, despite significant efforts to repair their relationships, couldn't sell enough GameCubes to keep them on board. No question then that the Wii launched with the weakest 3P support of any current system, and yet it is selling like gangbusters. Now the 3Ps are scrambling to catch up.

2) At launch Sega's Dreamcast arguably had the best 3P support of any system interms of both quality and quantity, and the system ended up a stunning failure.

Think of third parties as a weather vane. They don't make the wind, but they do tell you which way it's blowing.
