My main concern for a Pokemon RPG is pacing which coliseum and XD: Gale of Darkness had battles that felt like 15 to 20 minutes each, making it hard to prepare for major Cipher Admin or Team Snag'em battles. I hate grinding and I hate grinding when it's for animations that take a few seconds in the handheld games.

EDIT: I don't know but maybe it was the battle music, which is subpar to the handheld games, and always 2-on-2 battles in Colisseum that made them seem to drag on and on.  I liked both games though. Mirror B. and Venus are awesome.

I thought the music in Colosseum was 100x better than the handheld music. Colosseum is the only one with good music IMO. And Mirror B FTW :)

The regular battle music was subpar.  The boss ones were actually pretty cool.  After 50 battles in the Mt. Battle, that the regular battle music is soul-draining.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald had better music than Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness.

Actually, I think it did...

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

I found it strange that most of the game uses the same "soul-draining" tune for almost every single battle - but the first battle had a fantastic tune. I think it's only heard against the first guy (and his few rematches) and then the first 10 on the battle mountain.

I'm really split on the issue of making a console Pokemon game. If they could make a game similar to the handhelds I would love it, but from what we've seen on Colosseum/XD they can't. I'm not saying those games sucked, they were O.K but they were nothing special. The battle seemed to drag a bit, the story never quite flowed, there just seems to be something missing. I actually preferred Pokemon Battle Revolution/Stadium/Stadium 2 to XD/Colosseum. XD/Colosseum felt like a sub-par attempt at an RPG, where as PBR etc actually execute what they're trying to do very well (even if it isn't what most fans wanted). To be fair XD was a much better attempt than Colosseum, I just felt it didn't come close to matching the handheld titles.

They need to put HAL Labs back on one of them. I mean, what else is HAL up to aside from that vaporware Kirby Wii game now that Brawl is done?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I predict a Gold/Silver remake, I don't know if it's going to be on the DS or Wii and the appearance of the Johto starters in the new Pokemon movie made me think is real.

i think a gold/silver remake would be great. but i would more rather have a full complete remake that has all 4 regions(or just the first three since we have shinnoh in diamond/pearl/platinum already)

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

And do it right this time! grrr

They need to take out the two on two battles in the console adventure games. One on one is much better.

Might a proper, full-on, Pokemon RPG on Wii be the reason Nintendo bought a controlling stake in MonolithSoft? They handled Baiten Kaitos pretty well, so why not Pokemon?
