If those are true, the game is turning out a lot better than feared.

How exactly? Out of all the things you listed, the only one which is even slightly comforting is the second. The rest are all either expected (number 3) or not impressive (1 and 4).

Just because you aren't impressed doesn't mean they don't matter. Those were things others feared, and it turns out that if they guy is telling the truth their fears did not come true.

Was there anyone who feared the game wouldn't have 15-20 simultaneous enemies, or that the difficulty level would be constant throughout the game?

Geez those people had awfully low expectations.

Actually, like 90% of the detractors feared that.

There were some. They insisted you would get twenty zombies spread over an entire area, and that you can just waltz through the game because of that.

I dug out two old threads about this game:

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=36924

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=34009

Nowhere did I find anyone saying anything of the sort. I did see peple fearing there wouldn't be around 100 enemies though.

Two threads mean we are wrong? How about searching for more than that, and searching past this site?

@LordTheNightKnight: How about posting some threads supporting your claims instead of putting the burden of proof solely on me?

I wouldn't be surprised if a few ridiculous people (not 90% or anything of the sort) had those expectations you mentioned. The game surpassing them is not really an achievement though.

Okay, Twestern has claimed this (don't remember the thread, but he all but called me delusional for insisting on waiting for the final version), and some people on the Capcom boards are insisting this (http://www.capcom-unity.com/capcom_games_discussion/go/thread/view/7341/13477838/Dead_Rising_CTYD_Media_and_Discussion_Thread?num=10&pg=1)

NJ5 vs. LordTheNightKnight, Round #671?

Anyhow, chuck me in with theRepublic. I want to believe...but I'm not quite there yet.

It's not a fight. He asked for something and I gave it.

I don't get the first point about zombies respawning. Do they just respawn out of thin air a couple of feet from you or do they come from off camera? Zombies respawned in the 360 version also, but with so many spread out over an area, they could always repsawn from farther away so they were never detected on camera.

Basically what I'm asking is, if you have your collection of a "dozen or so" zombies on screen and you start walking backwards through the mall, keeping them in your sights the entire time, are you going to be free from attack?

From some reviews, it's off camera. Not sure if that trick will work, but I'd have to play it to see.
