@WoW

I haven't played Secret of Mana (I should buy it from VC...) so any vids or something showing me this?

I recommend Secret of Mana.  The OST of the game is beautiful.

FFVII is NOT poorly paced.  I don't think there is a mainline FF that is poorly paced.  If any of them were, then they wouldn't get the excellent reviews they have been getting over the years.

Final Fantasy 7 is well-paced up to the moment you are required to do the Honey Bee side-quests to get into Don Corneo's mansion.  That's the first point where the game loses a lot of its momentum.  It continues well again even through the Sephiroth scene in the next town to faulter at Junon and the boat trip.

Don't believe me?  Go replay the game and see what I mean.

I never played FFVII but I'll ask my brother or one of his friends since they have played it.

I wouldn't really go down this path with him. Raichu has a bad habit of using other people's opinions as facts to fuel arguments against things he really has no place to talk about. Not offense of course. It's just that sometimes he feels like a VGC version of Vegh Esther.

I should have paid more attention to your post.

Oh, those kind of battles.

Yeah, it looks good enough to get. How much is it? Like 800 points? And what's the length and story like?

800 points, about 20 hours, good to average story by today's standards.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Thanks ClaudeLv250 for making me feel bad.  That's very kind of you.  I hope I don't get a bad rep around here just because of this little incident.

Dunno on VC price (or if it's even in the VC).

Length is fairly long.  On par with Chrono Trigger.  If you feel like getting all the weapon orbs and full leveling your weapons/magic then it will obviously take longer.

Story is pretty bare-bones.  This is the game you would get for gameplay, art, and sound... not story IMO.  It also has co-op akin to Tales games.

Secret of mana is definetely on VC. The best thing on VC, tbh.

Since Team Symphonia members are on it, then the story will be good. Unless people found out stories in ToS, TotA, and ToV bad =/

Vesperia's story is very mediocre. Tales fans I've talked to have told me that Vesperia had the weakest story out of those three games and say that Abyss' story and characters were the best out of the three. Arc Rise Fantasia looks more epic than Vesperia, but that's just me. This looks like it's going to be the best console RPG this year. I can't wait to get it.

Too many people in this thread are talking about stories of JRPGs which they haven't played themselves. What's up with that and who forgot to watch over Riot Of The Blood?

That partially my fault.

Hmm...seems like a decently long game. I like to collect stuff in games so it should last me.

I also need to get Paper Mario, SMRPG, and the BoF games from VC...

For an RPG fan u haven't played too many RPGs have u?
