I could already imagine some person out there being fooled by that....

"Hi, do you guys have anymore copies of Killzone: War Perfected?"

>_>

I'd hate to be the poor idiot who steps in that store and says that. LOL

well heck if it was not for the "no threads period" about Killzone 2 being called War Perfected.  I would have assumed that is the name of the game.

If i just watched commercials I would have thought that the title was that.  The commercial made it out to look like it was.  But if the name was changed we would have 10,000 topics all discussing it, announcing it ect. so quite obvious for any of us that no way is it that.

I do find it dumb that they cramped that tag line so close to the title of the game. That's so wrong. There was no way for a person who doesn't know the game to know that it's a damn tag line of the ad. XD

I would've prefered if they faded the Killzone 2 title then ended it with War Perfected. I liked the concept though and the use of in-game footage. That was brilliant.

i also find it a dumb tagline for the game. i'm not sure how well it will be percieved by the public. i didn't know that war needed to be better, let alone perfected. and by what, killing people and watching a bullet fly towards someones head. i thought war was a bad thing.

oh well it will sell to those who want it and piss off those who want to be pissed off about something and get on the news for dissing a video game

The ad was ok when I watched it first...but it seems better and better when I watch it again...I think it could be better...but this one is good too

i just don't think they released the trailer soon enough (still ain't out is it? plus i have yet to see it on tv) and it doesn't have the wow factor or sweetness that gears of war did.

i don't own or plan to buy gears of war, but myself and i'm sure pretty much any gamer you know period remembers those commercials vividly. Just like i remember the commercials for ocarina of time and ff7 back in the day. The commercials were epic and you just can't forget them.

sadly this commercial does not do that.

kz commercials kinda suck...they need to show that opening cinematic...cut it a bit to make it enough to be in a commercial...start from where all the ISA have already landed on Helghan...and u see them getting shot and are dying...and then u see helghasts come out from the cloud of dust....that'd be an awesome commercial...

The UK one is now up on Three Speech, it looks pretty good

So why didn't they show actual gameplay? Instead they made another cinematic ad which was a mix of CGI and some game-engine footage.

Oh well, I'm buying the dang thing either way

Except that this ad is running off of the PS3 and rendered in-engine. None of that ad is CGI. They're going to let us interact with that ad in March as a download on PSN.

I said it was a mix of CGI and game-engine.  The only parts that are really CGI is the bullet on certain parts, especially the close-up view of it.  So I guess it was still almost entirely game-engine.

I was just asking for more actual gameplay footage.

What do you mean they are going to let us interact with that ad?  Let us recreate things in a different way?  Sounds interesting!

EDIT:  Just saw the news article on the front page.  Does sound very interesting!  And after watching it again the bullet could easily just be another in-game object.  Something that small would be easy to add a lot of detail to, I guess.  I just don't think every single bullet looks like that in the actual gameplay

Still havent seen any ads on TV, in-stores, on the radio, on soft drinks, billboards, internet.....nothing.
