I just thought of this, maybe something like this exists maybe it doesn't, but it needs to.

Proposition:  You know how in political elections(US) each state is colored in either red or blue according to who won each state?  Wouldn't it be awesome if we had some type of map like that but for console sales?

We all know the map would probably be all blue for the Wii if we compared all consoles to each other, but there could be a option to just select one console or two to compare.  If you select one console, let's say the wii, the map would display all 50 states with varying shades of blue depicting the level of sales by state, i.e. light blue to really dark blue. You could then do this with each console and see which state(s) the consoles are selling best in.

I think this would be a really nice tool to use, especially if it was extending to the whole world where you could see how many have sold where in one nice neat map. 

Problem:  Is this even possible? Is there data available by state, country, etc.?  I just think its an awesome idea, what do you guys think?

Wow. That's a cool idea. I don't think its possible, but a cool idea nonetheless.

Yeah i really wish it was possible, hopefully one day it will be. It would be really easy to do it by countries, but I don't think there is data by individual states.
