I wanted to answer it but that thread is locked.
The first videogame was made at MIT (United States) by a post graduate(I think) on an IBM Mark I. It was set up for a Military Conference to entertain guests. It was military equipment so the Military could have pattented/secured the inventions for videogames at least in theory. The game had no title and was essentially a predecessor to Pong.
