I wanted to answer it but that thread is locked.

The first videogame was made at MIT (United States) by a post graduate(I think) on an IBM Mark I.  It was set up for a Military Conference to entertain guests.  It was military equipment so the Military could have pattented/secured the inventions for videogames at least in theory.  The game had no title and was essentially a predecessor to Pong.

And yes, Video-games was developed by Miltary Scientists. Do ya know what this means?! The miltary is going to use video-games for the training of futu... oh wait, they are already doing that.

Right, PONG is the first commerical video-game. Yes, but not the first video-game of all time. The First video game was actually a very simple missle flight simulator played on a Cathode-Ray Tube.

Again, proving its origins as miltary science.

^ Magnavox Odyssey came out in 72, it dident have PONG
