I always learned that pressing the X360 guide button will pause 90% of screens that are normally un-pausable (same way with disconnecting the controller).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Please say that the cut-scenes are pausable!!! 45 min cut scenes would be unbearable without that, and one thing MGS 4 did have was good dialogue and fantastic voice actors, so these cut scenes will likely not be as good....

Things like having to change disc all the time seems really annoying, but I am not going to bother waiting for the PS3 version to sort that out. I hate really long dungeons with infrequent save points, one of the reasons I never finished IU.

Ultimately it seems that they have not learnt all the lessons they should have learnt from IU, and it still has poor pacing, though it still looks like one of the better jRPGs, but not as good as LO (hurry up Mistwalker) but those achievements look incredibly annoying

Not to mention that story is arguably the reason to play MGS4(and any other MGS game) in the first place.

Pacing was never a strong point of Star Ocean(other than SO2 anyway).  There's always SO5 but will worry about that later.  Let's just play SO4 and annoyingly praise how great the gameplay is.

you can skip them, but you cannot pause them...which is pretty stupid. I could have sworn you could pause them in SO3.

Doesn't the xbox button pause?

An 8.5 for gameplay is a good sign

good score.

good point, hopefully it works for this game. I have a tendency to play games while watching Hockey, so pausing is helpful so I can flick back and forth during commercials and period breaks.

Really. Another "open all the treasure chests in the world!" achievement.

The Xbox button does not always pause, I was playing LO today, and I hit the guide button, and it did not pause, though that was not in a cut scene

Actually in that game, disconnecting the controller did pause cut scenes, I know as in the final cut scene my controller turned off out of boredom, so hopefully the same thing will work here

I still feel getting all the skills for Kaim and the other Imortals was much worse...also where is the Achivement list?

Former something....

Here, but most are still secret.
