Is it sad that High School Musical and Momma Mia are popular movies?

Does the fact that someone spends money on these movies rather than The Dark Knight because these movies better suit their interests take away from The Dark Knight some how?

Did the success of these movies prevent movie studios greenlighting movies that are (probably) targeted towards you?

 

Why are so many "Hardcore" gamers only happy when they are the only people who are getting attention from developers?

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

can't wait till you are married, your gonna love when your wife brings home some stupid ass nicknacks or expensive shoes that only get worn like 1-2 times a year if that.

it is so hard to realize that woman buy more shit than guys and their tastes look rediculous to us. I believe its something like 80% of the spending power in the household is up to the mom/wife or woman in the family. Sure the income may be split 50/50 or 60/40 or whatever (men still typically make more) but the woman are the ones who have the spending power.

okay, tell you what.  i'm actually a fan of hannah montana.  yeah, i know her show isn't high art but i still watch it anyways because it is entertaining and what else is there to do before power rangers start.  i'll go buy on of her games tonight and post a review for it in a week or so once i'm at least far enough into the game to make judgements.

Wow... you actually went out and spent your own money on Hanna Montana games just to prove a point?  Either you have money to burn or are really a Hannah Montana fan.  Either way, way to go for taking one for the 'team' and seeing if girl games have a soul all thier own.

Wish I'd thought of this as a way to justify buying We Cheer....

So, Nintendo making Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart, Metroid Prime, Battalion Wars, Fire Emblem, etc. isn't good enough they now have to prevent third party publishers (Ubisoft) from releasing games you don't approve of?

So what we "hardcore" gamers fear that companys like Nintendo stop making "hardcore" games.

And since it  is leading gaming company + games like in first post sell millions...

ha exactly, we have about just as many core games as the GC had its whole life already from nintendo.  Sure we haven't gotten our Wii Zelda yet, and Pikman but that is about it that i can think of.  (well luigi's mansion)  

 

And I thought it was that the PS3 and 360 were gonna go bankrupt or what not because they DID NOT HAVE the casual games and the devolopement costs for "hardcore" games was too risky.  I mean it seems that every month a new company is looking for a buyer or something because of financial trouble. 

 

And fanboys are always loyal to their console and buy it every generation.  The Playstation just was so mass/casually appealing that its huge numbers made you guys think you had more fans than nintendo.  Now when your console isn't casually friendly like before they all left and wen to nintendo and only the loyal sony fanboys are buying ps3's like the nintendo fanboys were buying the gamecube.

 

when will people realize that 130 million or whatever are 80% or more casual players.  If the PS2 was so hardcore how the hell do these amazing games like Okami, God of War and others only sell like 2.5 million and whatever low okami numbers where.  What the hell were the other 125 million poeple doing?  Oh wait they are casuals who are buying the scooby doo games, bad movie adaptation games, bratz, or singstar ect.  Games you guys think are ruining the industry.
