Forums - Nintendo - Dragon Quest V DS is out

I just beat it. The last boss fight was really amazing, since I was a fair bit underleveled. I had to rely on a switch out strategy, and constant use of the sage stone. <--- probably not a spoiler, but just making sure Overall, amazing game. Can't wait for VI and IX.

Fuck yeah, 5 bells ( reward: 60000 coins )
This game is awesome ( btw can we talk about the game in this thread and not only about its localization ? )

I'm currently at level 37 and at Nadiria.  Trying to level off Metal Slimes and get a Golden Dragon/KingCure Slime.

Being someone who hasn't English as the first language, I find it hard to understand sometimes when they use "accents" or old English. =/

I do agree that straight up English would be better but in some way, it makes characters more "special" to have an "accent".

You'd think they would release the French version up here, what with all those double manuals they cram in with every game.

Some very few games have French as an option but I'd rather play them in English anyway... No reason really, just personal preference.

I picked up the game last week and honestly the accents don't bother me at all. I just find them a quirky part of the game.

Do we have any ballpark on when VI will be coming out?

The only teeth strong enough to eat other teeth.

Nope. We don't even have a Japanese screenshot yet

DQVI is most likely going to be delayed until way into Fall or Winter in Japan, because DQIX was suppose to be released in March in Japan.  However, DQIX got delayed in Japan until June.  I'm anticipating a December/March 2010 release for Japan and Summer 2010 or even later release for us (depending on if they decide to give us DQVI first or DQIX).
