Yeah, but this is the first one that they've lost exclusivity to and got a weaker (albeit slightly) version of. At least to my knowledge

True, things will never look as grim as they did during the Ps3's launch but this does not bode well for the Ps3's future.

Not surprising... capcom and a lot of 3rd party developers are having success on the xbox 360 while most of them are failing on the ps3. Like EA said, it makes sense to focus on the platform with most potential.

yea i would have thought that this game started development on PS3, but perhaps they were working on the 360 version the whole time and just didn't say anything.

Well the thing is, i could understand it with EA, they are just a money-guzzling machine that will go where the gamers are going. But Capcom is a Japanese developer with an established history on Sony consoles. But now they have two significant 360 exclusives in Dead Rising and Lost Planet, while at the same time making their biggest Sony exclusive multi-platform AND now apparently giving a more visually impressive version to the Microsoft platform.

Compared to the wii, the ps3 is a king in 3rd party sales. Microsoft has something planned...Maybe a hostile take over of some 3rd party companies? Lost planet exclusive on the 360 is wierd since they said "we want more people to enjoy are games"(they said that with dmc4, but what about lost planet?) Sony is just sitting their like idiots, and microsoft is making there move on every 3rd party game on the ps3.

Red steel and Rayman own all ps3 third party games and most 1rst party. 

I agree leo, Microsoft is obviously doing something substantial behind the scenes if big Japanese developers are showing them such strong support. Capcom and Namco in particular have gone Xbox crazy (not to even speak of mistwalker). The real question becomes whether or not Konami and Square Enix will hold out or give in to microsoft on ports of MGS4 and FFXIII.
