Thanks for the insight. I was starting to wonder if the regulars here were really not open to legitimate questions about numbers.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt and just assume it was a misunderstanding.

 


Honestly don't worry about it. So long as your questions are curtious and genuine you should get a fair responce. A lot of people went overboard in this thread and your original question, while a common mistake, was still a valid question to ask.

There will always be people who jump on you for questioning things, thats a generic statement about life not just this website. But so long as you are polite you will be welcome here no matter what you believe about the numbers. Hopefully by getting a chance to read some of ioi and TheSource's posts you should get an idea of just how hard they are working to improve the reliability and accuracy of these numbers. But in the mean time I hope you will see the fact that they are providing this work free to the general public as reason to give them a fair chance.
