The first game did not sale that well, so they are giving it a second shot with rails, maybe the game will be better on rails.

I think people are just sick of getting the bait & switch with every franchise that comes to Wii. It's a parade of genre-busting spinoffs with little in common with the parent franchise besides the IP, and low budgets in common with each other.
Hey, you're getting Dead Space, a third person horror/shooter. Just kidding, it's a rail shooter.
Hey, you're getting a new Resident Evil. A third person survival/horror game? Nope, yours is a rail shooter.
Hey, you're getting a new Soul Calibur fighter! And by fighter, we mean a cheapass hack & slash.
How about a new Castlevania game? Platforming and powerups? No, yours will be a 3D fighting game!

yes third party development on the wii is lazy, and if this turns out to be on-rails that is just a shame, but hey look at the bright side it may not be soooooooo stop assuming its better for your health:)

The disappointment and complaints isn't that the game will not be good.
It is the fact that the original Dead Space is a third person shooter, a genre that the Wii is very lacking. They get told Dead Space is heading to Wii, and then find out it is being turned into a genre that the Wii already has plenty of good quality games in. |
That I agree with. Unless they are trying something radically new. They promised something like that, but it's gonna have to be impressive if they want to stand out.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

More and more I get the idea that gamers are like a flock of sheep. Following the popular opinion and hating everything that only slightly deviates from this. Blech. At least the oldschool elitist judged on quality, not on genre. Bring back the old times.
Oh wait, the old times are already here with House of the Dead Overkill! Yeah! Oldschool hardcore FTW! |
No those are just gullible idiots, someone wasn't joking when they called them man children; the footnote of being a child is the benign pursuit of direction in something or from someone. Often times rational thought is a secondary mechanism whose initialization has a few screws loose.

Lol...never saw it like that. Yah Id be furious too if Wii was my only gaming system.
i highly recomend wii owners to buy dead space on ps3 or 360. its a fantastic game with stunning grafix and audio.
the fact that they have taken out the exploration type of gameplay akin to a survival horror makes me feel wii owners will be cheated.
but then again dead space wii might be a good game in its own right but it wont be dead space as it is on the hd consoles.
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
well i'm looking forward to this game since i love on rail shooters and i think there will be something more than what we saw so far. maybe only part of the game will be on rail or maybe we will get some way of exploration.
