Still, I think Final Fantasy becomes better when you take the words "Final Fantasy" out of the title and stop wishing the games were what they're not.

Too true on that one.  I kidna like 12 when i don't treat it like a FF game.

Not really. Lasers cause a nuclear reaction when they hit personal force-field shields, so basically everyone has to use swords.

I'm getting tired of people hating on Final Fantasy.

Everything Square does, even itty bitty small things like this, they get torn to pieces for.

If you people really don't like Final Fantasy 13 that much (before you even played it) and want Square to make something else. Please make another thread about it.

I feel the same way too.  I don't really like the management (aka Wada) of SE as of late with all the delays and hold-ups.  However, I like Kitase and his team.  The way this game is shaping up is good by me.  I've been a fan since FF4.  I actually liked FF7 as well.

 

Right now, it's the cool thing to hate Square Enix.  Some of it is deserved and some of it really isn't.  It's like 2007 was for the PS3 (fanboys still do now).  Probably next generation, it will be Halo.

I do think it's funny how people constantly rail on Square for being such shit these days, yet they never decide to simply wash their hands of them. I mean, supposedly Atlus is the new Squaresoft (or so I keep hearing), and it's not like they've got any lack of new releases every single month. More than enough to keep anybody occupied.
