Why not both systems like yanamaster said? It would only makes sense to release it on the consoles that made it popular.

Neither. It should go to Xbox Live. That should be next summer's "Summer of Arcade" thing. 12 weeks of Final Fantasy.

In reality, it shouldn't go to either. Square Enix can charge people $40 for a DS remake like FFIV and then another $40 for a straight port of Chrono Trigger...and they sell. Why would they want to sell those games to a small audience of buyers for $8 a pop?

You're not going to see them on either platform. Square wants you to buy them for handheld systems.

They will end up across all three download services.

A lot of Final Fantasy were rereleased on the PS1 making them classics plus PS1 games are cheaper.
