Forums - Microsoft - How worn is your main controller? Are you proud of it?

My first SixAxis is dead (broke it open myself)
2nd SixAxis needs me to plug in the USB just to get it to register.
My Dualshock 3 has the same issue as my 2nd SixAxis.

My main 360 controller has tons of scuff marks on it and even when putting in full batteries the controller seems to lose its connection or claims the battery power is low even though it is full.

My Wiimotes sometimes fail to register, especially my 2nd controller.

The last time I had luck with a damn controller was when they had wires.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

My main controller is in about 30 pieces after stacking my car into a wall on the last lap of a Forza 2 endurance race! Grrrrr!

My wired 360 controller's left analog stick is warped. Half of the top looks like it melted away and started to warp downwards.

I'm on my third PS3 controller.

The Dualshock 3s seem to be holding up longer than the Sixaxis ones, though.

But seeing as this is in Microsoft discussion: original 360 controllers, though the triggers squeak like mad men.

Of my many Wiimotes, all they have is discoloured straps and thumbsticks, dead skin in the side cracks, and a dent or two from the occasional trip across the room. Oh, and one of my nunchuks has a mysterious gash in the cable which exposes the wire. Works fine so far, though.

I have killed a couple crappy third party GC controllers, though.

I didn't notice this was in Microsoft discussion until SamuelIRSmith pointed it out. These types of topics should just be created in general gaming since they are so generic.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Yeah I guess I am a little proud of it. I game mostly on the 360 and I recently had to send it it for "repairs". I called them up and told them my LB was unresponsive. They did their normal checks and decided I was not making it up and then sent me a box to send it back in.

All the time knowing they were just going to replace the controller. It still took them like 2 weeks to "fix" it. I got a new controller out of the deal I guess. So now I have 2.

EDIT: how the LB button broke I have no idea.  It is rarely used on any of the games I play.

Consoles: Atari 5200, NES, SNES, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube, Wii, Xbox 360, PS3

My game controllers were never that worn... Not because I don't play much but... I dunno I take care of them I guess. O_o

/Is proud.

My 360 controller's bumper buttons didn't really work anymore (kinda hard to reload in Gears of War) and the left stick was sticky. But I just got a new controller for Christmas so I don't have these problems anymore.

My original six-axis controller is pretty much screwed after playing CoD4 for about 20days. The analog stick has my character walking all over the place and the both the L1 and R1 buttons got screwed up so i had to take it apart to try and fix them. My DS3 is holding up pretty good though.
