When did the 400$/400€ ps3 launch?

The 360 spent 20 months at the same price point, looks like Sony is making a go at it...

Yes but you have to realize for a good portion of that time the 360 didn't have 2 other consoles competing with it at a lower price.

=)

Sort of did... the ps2 =)

But yeah, it's gonna be very rough for them until they can lower the price. By the way, when does KZ2 release? I can't wait for the numbers on that one.

Wow Wii doing great despite this type of the year, 200k in America in February is a great result.

DS doing also extremely fine, with 360 doing Ok

PS3 just cant sell in America, they really have to cut the price if they can afford it, KZ2 might have a slight boost but they have to think long term.

Did Nintendo increase production? I am curious due to the high sales and the large inventory sitting on store shelves. (I have never seen so many Wiis in store as I have over the last 2 weeks. Example: My local bestbuy had 24 of them sitting on the floor on Friday. I did not count them on Saturday, but the stack looked the same. Gamestop had a stack of Wiis on Saturday with a sign that said Wii in stock. They had a stack last week with a sign like that also. I have never seen that at Gamestop before. Walmart and target both had Wiis in their display. Couldn't count how many since they keep them in the bottom of the locked game cases.)

Personally I think the numbers are being reported as sale through when, currently, they are not.

Nice numbers for all.

But come on that was last gen. The PS2 was still selling very well but we're talking about in terms of people looking for a next gen console.

Killzone 2 releases on the 25th for Europe and the 27th for the States.

Poor PS3 :(
I don't think even the Gamecube was doing this bad (in America). I hope KIllzone makes a difference.

Amazing for Nintendo. I have been seeing tons of Wiis everywhere, so the supply issues seem to finally be resolved.

As for Sony and MS, they both need something to boost sales.

Last-gen, next-gen... they all are videogame consoles... so I guess it depends on perspective.

Ah, thanks. The reports concerning that week will undoubtly generate interesting threads.

Xbox 360 keeps 90k,Ps3 60k,PSP around 70k,if nothing "huge" is happening.
Still...
Wii and Ds,I'm getting reaally tired.
