Forums - Nintendo - Good Commodore 64 Games

My favorite C 64 Games were Katakis, Turrican and the last ninja games.

Gotta love Katakis - Chris Hülsbeck's soundtrack is nothing short of splendid. Keep in mind C64 game is almost completely different from the Amgia version; the level design in particular is much better. Amiga version is pretty good, but it's an obvious R-type rip-off. There was a famous lawsuit at the time, involving Rainbow Arts and Activision.

C 64 was my first system, still have it somewhere in my basement. I can recommend International Karate, Track and Field

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

PS3 vs 360 sales

Just one look at Enforcer, and you can tell the team behind Katakis is behind it as well... :)

one of the donkey kong ports is really good
I'm surprised no one mentioned the numerous "The last Ninja" games

Let me tell you which one - Ocean's.

Regarding Last Ninja - it wasn't the only great System 3 game/series. Myth, Flimbo's Quest and Tusker are all quality games.

no one said anything about System 3 no making many great games I just brought up last ninja as I know it is one of their most highly regarded series, and I know the praise is well justified

though I think reference guides for all of the classic consoles/computers should be made

That Donkey Kong port was done by AtariSoft which was one out of eight ported arcade games.  I still have my original cartridge.  It's broken, but it's quite a keepsake since I love Donkey Kong and Nintendo.  Besides that, you have to include Jumpman and Jumpman Junior to the list.  I have (in my office) Jumpman on two CASSETTES.  Oh, the memories...

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

Where's the Forbidden Forest love? More importantly, look for the sequel, Beyond the Forbidden Forest, and Aztec Challenge.
