$299 ps3 + gt5 christmas 2009 + gow3 march 2010 = 3mill gap mid 2010. US gap around 6-7mill, Europe firmly Sonys.
The math is simple, now make it so Kaz.

Then, definitely. Even if GT5 makes the PS3 outsell the 360 for one week, the gap will decrease in size.
pushing 1 million consoles would be a success. 8 million is just stupid. That actually sounds like "wait untill..."
Forza 2 selling 4 million is the best competition GT ever had.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
No game can do miracles. Blockbuster releases will help Sony to prevent the gap from widening and even to narrow it a little bit, but only adding to big games a price cut that makes at least an entry level model available at under $300 PS3 will have reasonable chances to fill the gap. As I wrote, anyway, big games releases help Sony sales and may allow it to delay the unavoidable cut if doing it sooner is too costly. Big games: Beneficial? Yes, and very much too. Miraculous? Forget it.

GT4 has sold 10.57mil units to retail. Our numbers our incomplete.
I think that we shouldn't say omg this one game will save the ps3. But because the ps3 is now getting sooo many excellent exclusives that people are just going to go I have to have it. But yes I think Gran Turismo 5 will definately increase ps3 sales

It will move systems, but not 8 million more than what the xbox will sell

It'd pretty much bitch smack any lead it had in EU. And maybe slow down 360 sells in US while selling quite a bit of consoles.
Prediction:
TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.
Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).
First Versus gameplay this year.

GT will release in 2010. GT will be multi-platform by end 2009 ;).
Anyway... it will boost sales for a month but never enough to close the WW gap by then. Maybe in Europe, but definatly not the US and other Other regions.
The Doctor will see you now
