Anyway....without god of war 3 and GT5, ps3 will still have a great year. Although you're forgetting that god of war 3 is basically a Q4 09 or Q1 10 title, so even it it doesn't come out in say Dec 09 it will come out 3 months later...big woop. IMO we'll see GT5 end of this year and god of war 3 in March next year.

And I believe that it's the reverse of what cura said, God of War 3 this year and then GT5 in Feb/Mar of next year.

Who cares. This generation is set. Sony is going to be in last place. Is that a bad thing? From a fanboy perspective, sure, but in reality?

The only thing that Sony needs to do is make sure that SCEI is profitable, and can continue to be a viable buisness. God of War 3, and Gran Turismo 5 need to come out when they are done. If Sony focuses on making extreamly high quality games, and markets them well, they will make money, and that is all that matters right now. When it is all said and done PS3 will still be in third no matter what price cuts/games Sony releases. However, PS3 will still sell more consoles than any non Playstation from any previous generation.



Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Heavy Rain isn't an "ammo" title. Much as it's one of my most anticipated PS3 titles, it is fairly niche in terms of it's gameplay.

GT5 is huge. It's absolutely massive. But GoW3 also isn't a massive system seller I don't think. Though it is a big title. And again, a personally well anticipated one.

Uncharted and Rachet won't push systems, just as GeoW 2 didn't appear to push systems. We'll have to wait and see for Killzone 2, but you'd think that without a price drop there isn't much it can do. Everyone that wants a shooter probably has an HD console by now.

So the question is, even with those titles does the PS3 have enough ammo?

If its delayed again, they will only fall behind even more.

Its not trolling, its reality. Gran turismo and god of war will give a boost for a few weeks or even a month or maybe even 2, but it won't change the situation much when you look at it from a larger perspective. Microsoft and Nintendo will also release big games. These things are expected and necessary to survive. They are not game changers. A new halo, forza, mass effectt, mario, zelda, pokemon all make it even out. Only things super out of the ordinary that end up selling 20 million units like wii fit and nintendogs are real game changers.

I am strickly talking about NA and Europe so you can throw out Yakuza 3 and other Japanese niche titles out.

As far as I know, there are really only 4 major exclusives in KZ2, Infamous, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and maybe WKC.

X360 has Halo Wars, Star Ocean 4, Halo 3 ODST, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction. And that seems like a pretty even list thus far.

Of course we have to wait for E3 perhaps to find out more about release dates and the full lineups for both camp.

I hope GT5 and GOW3 does make it out this year so I can play them ASAP.  If they don't, PS3 lineup doesn't look that potent.

The bolded ones are unknown whether or not they are going to make 2009. MAG and the Agency can also been thrown in there.

Ratchet and Clank Future 2 will also be in that list

The PS3 will be lacking without GT 5 and GoW 3, but it will still have plenty of ammo... but if they are delayed, 2010 will be the year of the PS3!!!
