I'm surprise with him having a Balance board no one reconmend Shaun White Snowboarding. Definitely a good alternative to Wii Fit when you just want to wild out. =P

SSBB is the best game I've played from this generation. If you don't have friends you could play it with regularly, it won't be as awesome.
Mario Kart Wii has a great online component. I'd strongly recommend that.
As mentioned, Metroid Prime 3 if you like adventure/shooter games. Very fun game.
If you like snowboarding games, Shaun White for the Wii is a far, far better game than it is for the PS3 or the Xbox 360.
I'd also recommend Excite Truck. It is a blast.
Download Sin & Punishment so you can get ready for the soon to be best game ever S & P 2, later this year

I'd strongly suggest against Battalion Wars 2 as i found the game to be awful. Rent it if possible.

No More heroes, House Of the Dead Overkill, Super Smash Bros. brawl
Look out for MadWorld on March 10th!
First off I'd say get super mario galaxy, and metroid prime 3 corruption. If your into nintendo games/characters then get smash bros brawl. House of the dead overkill just came out, its pretty over the top, and its alot of fun.
Also get ready for madworld next month!
Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.
