so i noticed that wikipedia sales for each console were different than the sales numbers posted here at VG. the question i ask is, who do you trust more?

take a look at this immaculate chart i made with the sales numbers frome each site. the bolded numbers represent the difference between the two.

I take VG Chartz because wikipedia some just posts something on the ps3 site they find somewere on the net. It said 16 something will a few weeks ago its main goal is not sales, it doesn't try to be very accurate in that part.

Those numbers makes sense to me? (Note: All the Wikipedia numbers are shipped to retailers, and VG Chartz is sold to consumers) If you check the numbers the Wii has sold 44.96 million by the end of December on VG Chartz (I'm actually assuming this I can't check cause I'm on the PSN and it's just annoying, I do remeber the number being around that though), and you do realize it's the middle of Febuary now, so the Wii selling 1.23 million seems plausible And the same with the Xbox 360 (I'm sure if you check the numbers for January 14 im sure it's around 27.93 in VG Chartz), it already sold well over .3 million in the last month, so again VG Chartz has is very close And Sony just shipped to many PS3's over the holidays so we haven't yet caught up to that number. Again Wikipedia= Shipped to retailers VG Chartz= Sold to consumers Sorry for the wall of text again im on PSN, I'll fix it tomorrow if this threads still alive.

Considering this is February and wikipdia most likely only lists shipped figures these numbers are pretty close really.

Well considering anyone can edit wikipedia..... I'm going to have to go with wikipedia, that's also the reason why I come to this site, to see how wrong vgchartz is.
