What now? Tales hasn't done anything special or innovative at all in their battle systems. Vesperia is just a re-tooled system of Abyss, which is just improved from Symphonia which took Eternia and made it 3D.

Valkyria

It redefines SRPG games. Vesperia is the same old JRPG. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to play Vesperia as there are barely any RPG's on PS3.

 Tales Of Vesperia's combat system is like a super amped version of Tales Of The Abyss's combat system because:

-You have the 4 bar overlimit which allows your characters to pull off massive combos and spam spells like crazy

-Burst Arts which can be pulled of in overlimit and gets stronger depending on the level of overlimit you are on

-The skill system that can change the very fighting style of you characters

-Fatal strikes which can kill normal enemies in one blow and deal heavy damage on a boss

-Encounter Links so you can have massive battles against like 12 monster at the same time

-Synthesis System were you can create hundreds of different weapen, sub-weapens, and armor.

-Multi-player has a way better camera angle then past tales games

And even if you see it as the same old tales combat system does it really matter?I don't play game to find something new and innovative, I play them to have fun and Tales Of Vesperia brings that to me so im good.There is nothing wrong with trying something new it is just i believe some people can get caught up in it to much.Valkyria Chronicles was still awesome to me but not because it was something new it was just alot of fun.

not really i didnt voice my opinion on between valkyria vs vesperia, i played vesperia as a rental, infact im trying it right now at my uncles house and so far i dont like it. i just dont like the style of tales games sorry man. now star ocean 4 and valkyria chronicles is another story for me. :1

OH course it is, but my point was just that do not act like Vesperia has done anything speacial as far as gameplay concerns. It's fun and that's what matters.
