Forums - Gaming - Dead Space was originally and X-box game!

Dead Space apparently started off as an original X-box title. It looks like they were pretty far into development with the game. Looks really good. Reminds me of when I saw the Shenmue footage for Saturn, and the first time I saw VF3 screenshots for Saturn.

It looks like the upcoming Wii version of the game has good chance of turning out well.

Yeah, I saw this this morning--makes me think the Wii version could turn out very well.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I don't know if I believe this... this looks like an early build of the game but its definetly pushing xbox 1's limit passed its best looking games.

Look at the enemies, xbox games never had that many polygons with such animations.

I think this was an early pc build...

if they hire the right programmers, this game will become quiet amazing on Wii since it won't be a low budget title like the past EA Wii games.

Wow, looks great even back then for a 'lesser' powered console...

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

The Xbox was never fully exploited--it had half the life cycle of the PS2, and yet was still able to churn out jaw-dropping stuff like Riddick and Ninja Gaiden.  Looks very plausible to me that the Xbox could've handled that video.

The developer giving the walk through of the footage specifically says it's the X-box build of the game.

A final game product that millions of dollars were invested in to... Yes!

A game demo that was never released...No!

I don't doubt that they were making it for the xbox. But i still firmliy believe that was a PC built that was never optimized for the xbox.

Like that Resident Evil 3.5 beta that was scrapped...that looked much much better than the final product (RE4) but that was enver made to run on the gamecube.
