Forums - Sony - SONY: Don't Pay For XBL, Pay For Designer Stuff Instead

AS a multi-console owner, there is absolutely no fucking way I would ever pay for Xbox Live.

Fair enough. As a multi-console owner, I would abso-fucking-lutely pay for PSN to have cross-game voice chat and download speeds as fast as Live's (I seem to live in one of those geographical dead zones for PSN).

im so glad to see you guys agree :P i agree as well... but this thread wasnt about which service is better... its about bashing Sony's IMO valid press article or release or whatever

I don't look at my credit card bill each month, so $50 is all I ever pay for XBL, as far as I can see. What happened last year is lost on me.

Its the same with the coffin expenditures. I buy one, send off my 360 for its annual vacation, and the next time it happens, I've forgotten all about it... its like it never happened.

If I buy a PSN game, it stays on my PS3 forever though. I can never forget that I paid for it. If they weren't fun I would really be upset about this.

Viva la 360!

or 1 Wii game

Hmm... on the one hand 50 bucks adds up over four or five years, on the other hand anyone who spends as much time on the internet as most of the people here do can easily find 13 months of live for 25 to 30 bucks...

The cross-game voice chat on Live would solve so many problems on PSN... they really have to deal with that.

Bottom line, who cares if Sony acts like a smart ass in these press releases, it's not like it affects what we get when we buy the consoles (unless it actually puts pressure on Microsoft to stop charging for Live at some point).

Seriously, nice spin ^^

So not having a choice to pay = good, since you don't check your bills

Choosing to buy a game and then noticing it's potentially sucky = bad, since you can still see it?

Here's your solution: buy a game if you want, if you don't like it => put it out of sight.  You'll apparently forget all about it and live happily ever after ;)  (I'm surprised you can still find your house >_>)

At least they bring lulz!

Tease.

This particular Kotaku author trolls the PS3 every chance he gets. That being said, it is kind of sad that Sony has resorted to press releases to articulate its value proposition with the PS3 and PSN. One of Sony's biggest problems is they can't communicate the value of the PS3 in a simple sentence.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

I shouldn't have to pay to play online when I already pay for my internet.

End of.

I applaud you Sony, for putting out a free and superior service.
