Forums - Sony - SONY: Don't Pay For XBL, Pay For Designer Stuff Instead

Geesh... This is fanwar at its finest...

My opinion...

Nobody is forcing anyone to go buy 360 with XBox Live... If you don't want to pay for it buy a PS3 and do what people do on their PS3s...

Nobody forces anyone to buy a PS3... If you think Live is better and worth the cost... Go buy a 360 with Live and do what 360 owners with Live do with their consoles.

@sega4life: You just had to revive this thread, didn't you?

i can understand that some people feel better justifying their reasons for buying live but it is not that serious. its just a simple post stating that instead of paying online you can have a PS3 and spend that money on online items.

Why does sony think im a broke ass gamer who can't afford things that he wants and needs to budget?

Oh right...cause their system costs an arm and a leg.

You sir are so wrong. Charge and Play adds 20 dollars to each controller, Wifi is 100 dollars. 50 dollars a year for live. That right there passes the price point for a PS3. Sorry.

Well... actually you can get a WiFi Adapter for less then $40 now, that works with the 360. But thats for people that want WiFi for online gaming.  (I just switched my whole house over from WiFi to Hardline, for my On-Demand and online gaming, only thing WiFi in my home are my Laptops and Wii.

Xbox Live only cost $38.99 from this sites store (Amazon), also every couple months or so Newegg.com and Amazon.com offer Xbox Live even cheaper for $29.99

You have 13 months to find a deal on Xbox Live.... not hard at all.

And I do not mind paying for a great service like XBL, it cost $0.14 a day...

$0.11 a day when buying XBL for $39.99 and $0.08 a day for XBL $29.99..

Considering all the MMO's I spent $14.95 a month on, XBL is cheap...

O.. and Rechargeable batteries work just as good if not better then Plug and Play kits.

everyone has rechargeable batteries lying around...

Even so, the cost of batteries(i dont have rechargeables) I need Wifi to connect to the internet from where my room is. And even after the XBL from the sites, its still going to cost more money in the entire life of the console then the PS3.

Also half the games I have played on live have been laggy as fuck. Only 1 PS3 game I have played online has been laggy. Why pay for laggy servers?

Batteries:

As for the cost of Rechargeable Batteries, you can get a 4 pack for $10.88 from Wal*Mart, and considering PS3 controllers are more expensive then 360 Controllers (on average $5.00 more) it equals out even..

If you have a Digital Camera, Any kind of Remote or Controller, you should have Rechargeable batteries in your home, it's good for the environment, stay green ya know..

__________________________

But.. if you choose not to get the batteries you can get 360 (Controllers with Plug and Play Kits) for the same price as PS3 Controllers..

*Wal*Mart.com*

360 Controllers $34.88

360 Controller + Plug and Play Kit $49.88

PS3 Controllers $49.88

WiFi:

Ya see thats all about were people live.. like for me it's the other way around..

Thats why I switched to hardline, Warhawk sucked on WiFi amd always had a problem trying to get a game going with COD4, but never had a problem with 360 games online WiFi, but sense the 360 and PS3 are near each other, and my Directv HD in the middle of both, Hard Line all 3 was the ideal move.

I feel sorry for people who can't afford a PS3 or the XBL subscription. Please continue arguing over how poor you all are, it's rather amusing.

You see, everywhere I have seen it the PS3 controlers = the 460 with no batteries. I dont own a camera. Also 360 controllers break so easily. My friend busted 2 within 6 months. They fall off the bed or desk like twice and they are toast. My Ps3 controllers has fallen quite a few times, and they are still going on strong.

Hrm, premium multiplayer service or a VIRTUAL CHAIR?!?!

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

are you saying you have been everywhere and PS3 DuelShocks are $46.00? If so please post some links..

You don't need to own a camera to own Rechargeable batteries, just anything that takes batteries...
