Yes I think it's pretty much a given now.
And the DS has been just like the Gameboy
Gameboy Phat = DS Phat
Gameboy Pocket = DS Lite
Gameboy Colour = DSi
Gameboy Advance = DS2 ??
So will Wii HD be just like the SNES?

The Super Scope has got to be one the best add ons Nintendo has ever released, seriously that thing looks like an RPG Launcher.
Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

Probably. Like the SNES, Nintendo will try to branch out with different peripherals (the Mouse), as well as refine what they they have (better Wiimote set against SNES controller), and make a more general upgrade package
Nintendo has always been about the peripherals, though, so it won't be that different. The key difference will be that they will use the upgrade in power to enhance the mass-market experience, as well as the core experience

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
Please tell me the OP didn't compare the Wii Remote to the Power Glove...
Other than that, I agree.

Wii 2 the most graphically powerful system on the market?
@thekitchensink Why not? This means that Power Golve wasn't a bad idea, just bad execution and poor marketing. Maybe, even Virtual Boy wasn't that bad after all =)
Nintendo did return back to true form which is why they are dominating just like during the NES days.
They´re very similar...maybe with the exception the NES was, as far as I know, the system that got as close to a monopoly as possible.
I didn't mean that the Wii remote was a bad idea just that they both implement the idea of motion controls with one being way more succesful than the other.
