I took a look at the leaked footage (here: http://superiorversion.com/?p=202 ) and it appears to be rough-in in-engine cinematics which look like they're at a very early stage ...

There's barely any detail in the characters or environments, not much color either. Who the heck said they were surprised those graphics were on the Wii?

You're really not aware of the concept of a rough-in are you?

I kinda like what they see. The aesthetics seem to be reminiscent of Ben 10 or The Secret Saturdays, both of which are quite good from an aesthetic standpoint

I'm also quite pleased with what I see aswell, but I think some people will see the low detail textures and models and rough animation work and assume that this is representative of what the final product will look like (primarily because they don't understand how this works).

It looks more like a PBS kid shows. It doesn't look like its aim toward the hardcore.

By that logic, neither are Ratchet and Clank or Mario.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Happy Tree Friends looks like a kid's show.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Capcom is retarded - I almost swear to this; I bouht Zack n Wiki thinking it was a kiddy game so I braced myself, the whole game was like Mega Man legends except with an agenda to insult my intelligence, only to have the god damn game be harder than any normal 12 year old could deal with - unless that 12 year old was Steven Hawkings. How could a games content be obviously too dificult for the age it's presentation seemed to target. I think that game presented itself as an EC game.

I know. How dare the Japanese not stick to arbitrary standards of art direction and audience!

Spyborg is gonna be one of the better game on wii and all the god damn haters will get POWNED! Mark my words.

to my understanding the video that was leaked was from before they pulled it back for a complete overhaul in the graphics department, so the game should look different from the videos. it amazes me how people critizise capcom for their wii games, and lack of support sometimes. if it wasnt for people complaints of this game having looked like a ps2 game, they would have never pulled it and gone back to the drawing board. how many companies have done that?
