Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Speculation: The end of PC ports of Xbox 360 first and second-party games

MS wont lose respect if they release anything on the PC, Halo 3 included. A few fan boys may complain but in the end that is about it. MS has a vision of dominating the console and PC market. Microsoft would love to re introduce a fee structure for games for windows live. If bringing Halo 3 to the PC does that.... then MS wont hesitate. In the end, its all about money.

Well the probelm of introducing a fee based online system is that 3rd parties can instead get a service such as steam to provide the online, and provide a good download service

Not soon but in a few years, yes. Halo 3 PC and Alan Wake may be their last big title.

Fable 2 sooner or later will come to PC.

Halo 3 probably not GoW2 i don't know seems Epic really hates PC gaming those days but if higher ups make diffrent decision they won't be able to protest.

And Windows division is lot more important in Redmond than game division and if they loose PC games they loose one of the biggest advantage they have versus Mac OS X.

Forcing gamer to buy console means that
a- he can buy PS3/Wii instead
b- he can buy OSX instead of Windows 7 (apart from games those OSes have very similar software offerings and Mac has coolness factor :) )
