360 is the definate 3rd position in this gen, it is a great console, and should easily do better than the original XB, but i doubt very strongly it will sell more than the Ps3. [it could take ps3 a long time to surpass it though]

By similar reasoning the 360 is outselling the PS3 2.5:1 in Europe ;)

at the rate ps3 is right now, ps3 will be the definate 3rd, they need something to boost it, or they will be third.

Hmm, I believe that PS3 will pick up the pace next year, with some really good games slated for release. It's amazing that it has sold this decently with it's high price and lackluster game library!

PS: There's no denying that PS3 is doing a lot better in EU than 360. Like I've said all along; MS are hoping to keep Sony at bay by dominating in NA only. Bad plan imo. Unless the US population doubles within two years that is...

Yes - I'm talking total sales.  What's retarded is comparing the sales of the 360 with the PS3 since launch.  I mean, the people who wanted a 360 would have gotten it when it first came out.  It's like saying that Madden 08 is outselling All-Pro Football 2K8 since launch.  Of course it has, people who wanted APF2K8 already bought it!

The allign lauch for ps3 is messed up for Europe

i do agree on that, at the current rate the ps3 will take years to catch up. but i have a funny feeling 360 will end up last [im a Ninty fan btw, never had a PS]... even if the ps3 continues slowly, i think it will have a life-span of a year longer than 360 [not 10 though, thats a bit much], which means it will be selling for 2 years after 360 dies, 2 years is ample time to catch up 5 million. although i still reckon ps3 will overtake 360 in its lifetime [probably about early 09] ps3 also has more scope for price drops as expensive stuff comes down in price faster with availability. i could be wrong of course.
