markers said: just throwing this out there, the 4 gamestops i had worked / go to all very pro 360. always figured it was just the snobs working there. they have not advertised killzone 2 that well, they put a sign on the windows and thats it. and these are not the small stores these are the bigger ones, plenty of room for more advertisement.
other than that, doubt this affect sales. still close to 1 million sales first week. |
Well, people at my Gamestop are all very pro-Sony, but they never push their prefer system on anyone. The guys that work there were all hype for Killzone 2 but they said Sony fans are very difference from 360, they buy less games and they generally don't pre-order like 360 fans tend to do.
Another thing I notice in my area is Microsoft rep is always in the stores in my area and not just the GameStop I usually go to but I see her at Best Buy etc. I often see her come in to change out posters , put up new promotions, talk to all the sale reps etc.
Killzone 2 has good potential to be big IP and if Sony want something that would rival Microsoft Halo then they really need to step to the plate and do the advertisement.
Is there a special edition of Killzone 2? or even a special bundle system to promote it?
