Forums - Nintendo - My Deadly Creatures Impressions.

I agree with Dark Prince's impressions. The game is really a lot of fun.

I do have one question though... The title screen is simply amazing. Graphically, I can't tell if it's actual footage or real time. All of the bugs and lizards move with such realism, and there are so many effects going on as far as shaders and bump-mapping that I can't tell if it's filtered CG or actual footage. But then there's one part with the turantula and the cricket being eaten that look polygonal. It's really impressive.

I read somewhere that it's in-game engine. I'll try to find it.

It really is a great game that every Wii-owner who consider themselfs core should buy. Anyone who doesn't buy this fantastic game have no right complaining about lack of core-games on the Wii anymore

From the impressions that you gave it sounds like a very solid pickup. I'll definitely be getting it soon.

cool, i'll probably buy it as soon as i finish Tenchu and Sonic Unleashed

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

great news, can't wait till in reaches my country.

"Deadly Creatures is one of Wii's prettiest games. When the title first boots, a black, simple title screen is perpetually interrupted by gorgeously animated and completely realistic tarantula models -- the same ones from the in-game sequences"

This is what i found, dunno if that means that it's in-game engine or not.

I've thought about getting this game, but I'm pretty sure my wife would make me get rid of it.

Does your wife not like bugs? (I shall ignore for the moment that neither the spider nor the scorpion are even insects, never mind bugs which are only a subset of insects)

If so the enemies in RE4 are very bug-like... has she made you get rid of that too?

She has arachnophobia and usually screams at the sight of spiders and usually other arachnids (even if its just a picture).  She disliked the violence in RE4, so she never watched it long enough to see the spider like creatures.
