Why is some people saying "I'm sooo buying Halo Wars"? Did I miss something here? I thought this was about Halo 3? o_O

I do own Halo 1 and 2 on PC... and who says I dont like Halo 3? I go to my friend's lan parties all the time and play it and Gears... and COD4.

edit: If I didnt at least find the games fun to play I wouldnt go to the lan parties or go only with the plan to play the PC games.

no but it comes with a small book,in game honor wraith,a patch,a metal case,and the maps.also if u prorder it at gamestop u get a free mini strategy guide and a flaming warthog(not only at gamestop) it goes 4 about 80 dollars at least in america

I am not going to argue about whether Halo is the be-all end-all of FPS on console or whatever, but there is NO doubt that Bungie is a great developer.

They have done things with matchmaking and forge and saved films and playlists and on and on that no one else can come close to on the consoles.

Everyone that comes close - like COD4- is basically modelling the online after Halo 2/3 and setting the rules of the game modes to their own physics/engines/universe.

How many times have you thought that they'd taken H2 or H3 about as far as they could, and they add new maps or gameplay tweaks or a new playlist that changes the way you think about their game? It's pretty amazing, and they are to be respected for that.

The other users in this thread are at fault for discussing UT in this thread. All I stated was that I'm not impressed by this or the map pack and then displayed what I was going back to doing. So pretty much blame the other users for it, not me.
