It depends. For something like Brawl which was YEARS off, I just ignored it and just looked at the updates every once in a while.

But for something like Dragon Quest V, which is coming out in a week, I decided to go and play another Dragon Quest game to get me hyped.

I don't think I've bought a game at launch (Or at full price) in a long time now :/. GTAIV is probably the exception but that was only cause my mate was sent two copies lol.
