The only time I felt "too much mario" was when I saw Super Mario Bros THE MOVIE.

3 a.m. in the morning, with potato chips all over my table, I saw Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo jumping on Dennis Hopper's pointy head and said to myself "boy this must be the highest moment of my life."

alternatively. i think we need more mario. 3 Fuull length mario platformers on the Wii and another 2d one on the DS. HELL YES !

I completely agree with you yacjuman. Another Mario game that I would like to see soon on Wii is Paper Mario. I played some of Super Paper Mario and think it is great thus far, but I would like to see Paper Mario going back to its RPG goodness.

How about they take a page out of the Rayman playbook and make "Mario's Creed". A gritty 3D action adventure starring Mario as an Assassin for hire. Yes that would be great!

On a serious note, I think Mario rides the line of too much but you really have to give them credit with the spinoff titles like Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Mario Party, etc... All of those games have had several solid entries into their own series and are now completely valid A and AAA titles on their own.

whenever people speak of video games... mario is still without dispute the most recognizable game character.

that being said, nintendo is now gonna have Mii's as their 2nd biggest mascot. i'm surprised they haven't pushed the Mii's harder yet--but they will. what's the deal with Wii Music and Wii Motor Sports and the likes? still waiting anxiously for them.

I agree.  I still don't get... "Hm... we need someone to play a lanky italian plumber.  Hey this short hispanic guy is perfect!". 

I think they are using mario to much.. Mario tennis, mario golf, mario party, mario basketball, DDR: Mario, paper mario, mario soccor.. whats next mario football? mario puzzle (oh wait.. Dr. Mario). They had Mario Time machine... 

what other games can they make... Mario Music sounds great (not), Mario Fix things (god that sounds fun), Mario's Sleeping (i know im getting a bit overkill here), and finally Resident Evil: mario edition.

seriously.. WTF HOW MANY MARIO GAME CAN THE MAKE OTHER THEN THE MAIN FRANCHISE. Seriously I want them to make a spinoff game where you play as bowser (not like in Mario RPG).

You can play Bowser in the SSB games :P

 thats a spinoff.. but I want a spinoff of the main Mario franchise where you play directly as bowser, fighting your way into the mushroom kingdom and capturing the princess or battling some new good guy and defeating him (so that they dont kill of Mario lol)
