Forums - Gaming - Video Game Franchises that Need to Die!

I don't think any of those need to die necessarily. However, most of them really could do with a few new ideas thrown into the mix.

Some of these sure do need to die off but if you played the new pac-man game on XBL you would change your mind. I'm a big FF fan so i still love that series, big sports fan too and racing game fan. I bet the big fans of madden would still love their game, and if it wasn't for wii sports the wii would be at 5mil WW, so i think you might want to keep sports games :P

I agree with most of the things on your list but I don't think all sport games should die. While you can play real sports there are people like me who are unable to play.

a.l.e.x59,

u should stop play wideo game ^^

Time to Work !

Except Pokemon just had its second largest (possibly largest in the long run) game released. It's hardly a done to death series.

Starfox is a dead fish, but could possibly be revived if they figure out how to approach it. But since the last good Starfox game was Starfox 64, yeah it is a bit discouraging.

The Final Fantasy main series does need to die, as does all the main series sequels and spin offs, Square is just murdering the damn thing. Spin-off series like Kingdom Hearts and Crystal Chronicles still have potential though, though I suppose the main series offers itself as a sacrificial lamb for all of Square's bad decisions while lesser focused games like Crystal Chronicles will most likely be spared the full brunt of the stupidity.
