One other note, and I probably shouldn't do this but now that I got to play Crysis on max settings and the Killzone 2 demo I just wanted to make a quick comparison.  Crysis has better textures, more environment detail and much more realistic environments.  On the otherhand Killzone 2 seems to have much better character models, gun models, and animations.  Basically, there are aspects of Crysis that are out of Kilzone 2's league, but there may be an equal number of aspects of killzone 2 that are out of crysis' league.  IMO

 

I will disagree but not completely. Character models and model textures in Crysis obliterate KZ2s, sorry. You can tell that just by looking at hands, let alone everything else. Same with the gun models.

 

The pre-physics animation, I will agree with you on that. KZ2s animations are better than Crysis.

Well first let me say that the hands of your own character isn't a good judge of comparing character models, they are usually much more detailed than the other characters in the game since they are on screen much more.  But take out the knife in Killzone 2... I thought even your own character's hands were better in Killzone.  And I felt that other character models were better in killzone 2, and the character models in Crysis were probably the games weakest point, if you can even call it weak.  Just zoom in on a dead enemy in crysis and compare it to killzone 2, to me killzone looked much better in this category. Also for gun models, I really didn't even think it was close, killzone seemed in another league, they really went into incredible detail for the gun models.  But once again Killzone 2 doesnt touch crysis in environment detail, or most textures.

from someone who ran crysis at max settings since forever, I hated this game. yeah it looks nice, but seriously this game is so bad. It's not fun, AI is retarded, and design is crap. Did anyone remember the alien room, where you literally just stood still for 5 minutes in order to move to the next room. I was so angered by that terrible gameplay design I turned my computer off and contemplated not finishing the game.

Does sins look any good? I can only play it with detail on normal and minimal detail, but it would be good to know if I am missing anything.

they are all from crysis that been said bull shots. i only accept crysis pics with the hud and the gun in the image. if those aint there then the image is dead to me and does not count.

Crysis has the graphics on SOME parts. Killzone 2 walks by it imho, when its comes to gameplay and weapons. Crysis is just a "Graphic bragging simulator" ;)



2 reasons for 360 sales.

Cheap arcade version, wich the mom buys for the kids.

And microsoft's wallet.

The third picture is a real picture, the first two are Crysis. This isn't a guess. The filenames for the first two indicate crysis, and the last one is not.

Crysis surely has impressive visuals but realism has never impressed me artistically. I've always found it boring.
