As a massive fan of clayanimation Cletus Clay may just become my favorite upcoming XBLA game. Cletus Clay like the title suggests has all the graphics made from clay (yep apparently everything)… Making for an oh-so unique game, check out the trailer released today below.

Maybe it’s just the New Zealand charm but I really hope this game goes well.

Cletus Clay is being developed by Tuna Technologies and Anthony Flack, who previously made the PSP clayanimation shooter Platypus, it will be released on both PC and XBLA although currently there is no official release date.

Have been looking forward to this since it was announced. The new trailer is hilarious.

I love claymation (making and watching) and have wanted a game in this style for a while, however I think they could have gone even further and sculpted the flat backgrounds and made more of the effects frame by frame from plasticine, it would have made it look more charming.

However it is good to see this style being used.

Reminds me of all the clay games in the SNES but it looks a little better, has voice, and has more to do. I look forward to the demo.
