Forums - Gaming - Is it wrong to want a game to bomb?

If it has nasty DRM like spore, than it should fail.

It's not wrong to want a game to fail, as long as you can put your reasons for it into words and not sound like a moron. This is not to say that you in particular are necessarily guilty of this problem, but many people are.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Depends... does the game's sales determine the life of you or your family??

Normally, I would say its wrong to want a game to bomb because people can lose their jobs but if 50 cent lost his job I would jump for joy.

No.

Bad games should NOT sell, it just encourages companies to be lazy.

well, there are a few games I wish would bomb this being one of them. Oh, and I disagree, I don't think 50 cent is the most annoying person in showbiz, did u forget him?

If you want it to bomb because it is on a system besides your favourite one, then yes.

If you want it to bomb because 50 cent is a tool and should stay the hell away from video games, then I agree

Don't be such a snobcore. Even if the game is not targeted to you, there must be some people who might enjoy this game.

Sorry, that excuse is only valid to a certain extent

I recognise that there is a target audience for Imagine: weddings, and thus I do not criticise it

I believe that 50 cent discriminates against pretty much every minority group, as well as against women (who are a 51% majority), and thus do not want him to make games/money
