@Naum
When did you buy your 360?
@Naum
I don't think it really matters for the original chipsets they seem to break regardless of use. Falcons are still iffy, they seem to be more reliable but still are prone to fail. If you have a Falcon and hardly use it I'm guessing it will last over the three years.
It's just that simple.
Well, at least this had a semi-happy ending.
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

@MonstaMack
I have a Falcon//owned it for over a year//I play my 360 mostly every day//no signs of failure in my corner. My 360 blows out cool exhaust air in the back of the console//and the disks come out cool. So yea Falcons and Jaspers are the reliable 360 configurations that are out there. They produce less heat.
You send you broken XBox 360 in a coffin box to the Xbox service center. Only a two to three week wait and your XBox 360 console will be returned and repaired and you will have a free month of XBox Live Gold.
Up to 3 years you XBox 360 is covered under the 3 Red light warranty. Console is fixed free of charge and it costs you nothing in postage and handling. Console fixed outside 3 year warranty period will cost you a lot of money - $100+.
| Naum said: I have had my 360 for almost a year, with pretty low gametime actually, around 100 hours, so is there any highrisk for me?. No warnings so far and I dust/wacuum alot. |
Is it a Falcon? If so, very very VERY unlikely.
Heck, my launch 360 ran for 2000-3000hrs before it crapped out...And it was one of the first ones made (and purchased on launch day).
Dolemit's 360, AFAIK is a 1st-run Elite, and not a Falcon. If that is indeed the case, it's a wonder it didn't die given how incredibly bad the ventilation was on his setup.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

It took 3 weeks to get it back? Where do you live Iraq? LOL
It took me under 10 days and that was during the Holidays when shipping times are longer.

All these people talking about having something on top of it don't know what they're talking about. The 360 draws the air in from the two ends, as well as the top and the bottom, then pushes it out the back. Fluidic movement always takes the easiest path. Those holes aren't the easiest path. The ends are.

Of course if you have the console laying horizontal the right side is the most eastiest path for the console to suck in cool air.
side note: My 360 is either a Xenon or an Opus, not sure which, and it's never had any problems with RROD.
All I do is have a third-party additional cooling fan and it does the trick. Sucker creates a decent amount of heat, but it doesn't ever overheat.
