I guess the problem is that all the consoles are great, now the real question is which of the consoles is the greatest for you?

Considering money is an issue for you, I will focus a little on value.

Some advantages for the Wii and Xbox 360 now are that you can buy some really great games at discounted prices (Im more sure on the 360 less on the Wii but I do hear about sales and cheap games a lot) and games are your MOST significant expense. You can by a tonne of 360 games on the cheap, whilst most of the really great PS3 games are new and therefore are still quite expensive. PS3 HAS GREAT LAUNCH TITLES THAT ARE NOW CHEAP. YOU CAN BUY USED PS3 GAMES IN STORES OR ONLINE. THERE ARE MANY GREAT PSN GAMES FOR VERY LOW PRICES AS WELL.

Define 'great' launch games... IIRC the only game I liked from launch which was an enjoyable and average was RFOM 1. There are 18 90+ games on Metacritic for the Xbox 360 and many are discounted and the whole point is that its not meant to be fair.

It looks like you will be able to purchase a Wii or Xbox 360 now rather than later, and start enjoying them. The Wii is currently the very best console to share the experience with a wide range of people, if you want to share the experience with other gamers the Xbox 360 has a good/great library of games to share with friends your own age. I even got my mom to play Castle Crashers, it was probably the greatest day of my life! JK!!! The PS3 does have games to share, but unfortunately not as many as the Xbox 360. DON'T LOOK AT TOTAT LIBRARY (THE 360 HAS ONE YEAR OVER THE PS3) LOOK AT THE TOTAL GAMES THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. ALSO LOOK AT QUALITY. YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING LIKE LITTLEBIGPLANET ANYWHERE ELSE RIGHT NOW.

You have to look at the total library! If a console has more great games then the chances are that without looking at them you'll find a lot of games you'll really like eventually. You can't find Castle Crashers on another console either, the point really is moot. Also many of these games are cheap, like I said earlier so theres no risk in trying them out.

Another side of value are your friends, you will enjoy your games more IMO if you can share the experience with them and more importantly BORROW their games. Like I said earlier games are your biggest expense so consider what your friends have carefully. Another side of this is playing online, you do have to pay to play on the Xbox 360 and its free on the PS3, however if all your friends (or your best friends) are on Xbox Live, or PSN that should sway you because a lonely online experience is no experience you want.

One neat trick with the Xbox 360 is that you can plug it into any monitor you want (Which is what I do) and get the HD experience even if you don't have an HD TV. YOU CAN DO THIS FOR PS3 AS WELL. I DID! DEPENDING ON YOUR MONITOR YOU CAN DO 780P AND EVEN 1080P WITH PS3!

You can? Oh, sorry... I looked but I couldn't find a VGA adapter for the PS3.

Btw, the batteries in the 360 last for ages and owning both I prefer batteries because if your Sixaxis runs out of juice you have to plug the cable in to charge which is rather annoying. Also its easier to keep all your controllers juiced for when friends show up. THIS IS ALL A MATTER OF OPINION. I PREFER JUST CONNECTING MY CONTROLLER TO MY CONSOLE, PC OR ANY USB PORT THAN HAVING TO BUY BATTERIES ALL THE TIME OR HAVING TO SPEND EXTRA MONEY ON A CHARGER.

It uses a lot of power to charge a controller on the PS3 did you know that? Besides this, you don't have to point out that I was giving an opinion because its quite clear that I was giving an opinion.

u dont need fans for this system or any of the systems. fans can cause more problems then actually helping u out.
u can be just fine using the silver account that comes with every xbox 360 system and not need to upgrade to gold, unless u plan on playing alot online. btw ff11 online u can use silver to play it.
if u get a xbox 360 pro or elite , u get a headset, ethernet cable with the system already packed inside every box. ( ps3 u must buy them ) if u get the elite u also get a hdmi cable as well.
the avatars for the nxe is very cool idea
rare games are very good and very fun on the 360.
u can sinc up your pc and 360 for extra functions, that u cant do propery with the other systems.
just the best system for games, online, function, service, movies and fun.

Thanks for your advice. I would pick a 360 for sure but I afraid of this :

Has Microsoft solve that problem ?

If you like metroid you gotta go with the wii. Go on the VC and buy super metroid its really hot!. Plus publishers on the wii have a very strong lineup this 09 year.

Get the 360.

I like the PS3 the best, but the 360 would be your best bet.

It's cheap, and has some hot games on it. What's the problem?

The virtual console is not a major factor in my decision cause I play a lot of emulation and rom on my computer... I love metroid but I also love Halo, God of War, Gran turismo, Killzone, Gear of war, Mario, Zelda...

I think one of the mods has a link to some #'s of RROD on new systems and it is VERY very low now (not sure but I think it was mrstickball).   As long as you buy a new 360 you shouldn't have any worries.  Especially since the 360 has a 3 year RROD warranty.  I have been through that whole mess myself.  And while it was a small hassell it really wasn't that bad.  I think I got my 360 back in under 10 days so it really isn't that big of a deal even if you do get unlucky and it happens to you.

I am not trying to push you into the 360 camp as opposed to another, but the RROD issue is behind M$ on the new systems at least.
