Not to sound pessimistic and all because I'm very much pleased with the accomplishment which Nintendo has done so far, but just trying to be realistic. I kind of despite the reactions around here, like in the sense this generation has already been decided. Nothing has been decided yet, as for now the WII is populair but things can change really fast. I just hope for the sake of Nintendo and most of all for us gamers, they won't became arrogant like many kings who're leading their country and only think about themselves. Therefore real quality support from 3rd party developers is very much welcomed.
Also I'd like to see the PS3 marching in the 360. Haven't got much against MS, except their louzy quality piece of gaming hardware, which bothers me the most and the amount of PS exclusives hitting the 360.
Anyway, congratz to you Nintendo, you deserve it!

i dont think most of us believe this generation is over, its just... for a nintendo fan it feels so good seeing nintendo somewhere that it hasnt been for a looong time, whether it is temporary or not

For all those knocking Nintendo fans right now, listen up.
For the better part of 13 years, Nintendo fans have been stepped on by the media, developers and other gamers. Sales figures and exclusive games rubbed in their faces, the press writing headlines saying "Nintendo is doom3d", fingers pointing, laughing, handing out labels like "kiddy" and more all in the name of boosting their own ego and making Nintendo fans feels worthless.
For once in the past 13 years Nintendo fans have a moment in the sun. Don't be a rain cloud. Let these people breathe for a few minutes as they've earned it sticking with something they've believed in for over a decade and it's finally given them something to be proud of on a social level.
So please spare us the moral horses, the indignant, and the 'who cares' for just a little while.

I don't see anyone saying that the Wii has already won this generation (although you'd have to be crazy to suggest that it's not the most likely scenario), just people celebrating that for the first time since the SNES, Nintendo has the largest user base of home consoles.

While I'm disapointed that 360 didn't put much of a fight, I'm glad that nintendo is back on top. The Nes was the first console I ever played and the super nintendo was the first console I ever owned and for those reasons I still have alot of respect for nintendo. I might not own a wii but I know how fun it is. I play it at my friends when I get the chance. Best wishes to the company that brought me into gaming. Super Mario World= Greatest of All Time
