I do agree that the year is make or break, but i equally agree that it's going to be very hard for this year to fail. Wii doesn't need the big budget hits to move software, we've seen this effect. Software gains legs, sells well in the long run, and suddenly there are only 5 fewer platinum games on Wii than on 360 (though, as i've said before, 360 is going to get three more in the next month or so)
It is better to say that this is the turning point year, the year when development finally trends to the Wii in levels that the Wii deserves given it's marketshare. Capcom speaks of the year of multiplatform, but those are all games whose development was begun some time ago. What we see on Wii this year is the start of its full realization, because its more important to see that this is the year that development shifts towards the Wii, which will lock that pattern in more or less through the end of the generation.
It's not going to bring the big-budget games across. They've already found their home, but publishers are going to really focus on Wii, because that's where their real money is going to come from soon enough
