Definately get the 4870, its got great single GPU performance and its definately the best pick out of all those options.

Bolshak, you write the prices in a confusing way, but as I understand it:

GTX 295: 1000 dollars
3870x2: 800 dollars
4870: 450 dollars
9800GTX: 600 dollars

Wow, hardware cost A LOT in Argentina! But the 4870 has a good price (for being Argentina)- easily the best choice out of those 4 cards.

The CPU Phenom 9850: 300 dollars is a good price for you.

But the motherboard (MSI K9N2 Diamond, nForce 780a SLI, DDR2) costs a lot... 450 dollars. It has a built in nice sound card, but you should try to get a cheaper motherboard if you can.

yeah.. hardware here costs a LOT.. i tried to find a phenom II x4 but they didnt have it.. so it's better to get the 4870, but how will it perform? (it says only 512 mb)

 could you recommend me some other motherboards?

The memory amount has very little impact on performance. Having a big number is a marketing trick to make the uninformed buy it. 512MB should be fine.

The 4870 should run all games at smooth framerates on the high settings at resolutions of 1920x1200 or less. Anything better than that is for people with insanely large monitors only.

Yeah, the only real difference you'll find with higher RAM is the amount of Anti-Aliasing you can do, and even then it only really makes a big difference on the really high-end parts like the 4870X2, and the GTX Geforces

I've said above, yes, max settings on most games unless you have a monitor bigger than 1920x1200.

Yes, a Phenom 9850 and 4870 will run all games (except for Crisis and GTA4) with highest settings in 1920x1200.

after some searching i found this

AMD PHENOM II 920 X4 (better than 9850? cause the price is almost the same)

hd 4870 512mb

they didnt have motherboards ¬¬.. could someone give some ideas? and for power suplies too please

 Yes, the Phenom II 920 X4 is clearly better than 9850.

I cant help with motherboards and power supply - where can you buy them, only in local stores in Rosario?

Maybe you can give examples of motherboards (socket AM2+ or socket AM3) and power supplies that they have there?

A Corsair 650W is good quality, very popular and usually cheap. But a 500-550W should be enough too.

I cant help with motherboards and power supply - where can you buy them, only in local stores in Rosario?

Maybe you can give examples of motherboards (socket AM2+ or socket AM3) and power supplies that they have there?
