Did Nintendo buy the timed-exclusivity of Tales of Symphonia?

I'm saying this because Namco anounced the PS2 version back then in April 2004, right after the fiscal year had ended and a new one had started. I wouldn't be surprised if we see the announcement of ToV, SO4 or MGS4 in April for another platform.

MGS4 is not going to be multi-platform.

No, they didn't buy timed exclusivity. The game did horrible in terms of sales in Japan, so they released it again on PS2. It managed ~400k in Japan, which is about 80K better than the GC version did. So porting was 100% worth it.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

no i dont believe that any of those games r going multiplatform.if any of them do its going to be tov in like 2 yrs but even that i dont see happening

Games were cheap enough to make that developers could design for a single platform without being moneyhatted.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
