This. However, Japan does not matter. You can get the number of sales in Japan easily eclipsed by Others and U.S. numbers. Japan, IMHO, is a good place to have a following, but not essential. I think MS should focus on making deeper inroads in Europe. They should actually give Japan the cold shoulder and take the mentality - either you want it or you don't.

Save their money and woo Europe.

wooing Japan isn't all about number there, but about the developers there... they show that they are serous about their region and they are more likely to put games on their system.
